Ecommerce Strategist
About the Job
At Pilothouse, Strategists are the quarterback of the client relationship.
This is not a traditional account management role. We are looking for someone who can think like a growth leader, align cross functional teams, and help ambitious ecommerce brands navigate their next stage of growth.
You'll own a portfolio of direct to consumer brands and be responsible for defining strategy, setting priorities, and driving results across channels including Meta, Tiktok, Google, Email, CRO, Creative, Analytics, and Amazon.
Success in this role comes from identifying the most important problem to solve, building a clear plan, and rallying internal specialists around that direction.
What You'll Do
Own client relationships and serve as the primary strategic advisor
Develop and maintain growth strategies across multiple ecommerce channels
Lead quarterly planning, forecasting, prioritization, and performance reviews
Translate data, attribution insights, and market opportunities into actionable growth plans
Align specialists across Media, Creative, Retention, CRO, and Analytics around a unified strategy
Drive client retention, expansion, and long term partnership growth
Maintain pricing integrity and participate in commercial negotiations
Challenge assumptions, identify risks early, and proactively solve problems before they impact performance
What We're Looking For
5+ years in ecommerce, growth marketing, or digital strategy
Experience leading client relationships in an agency, consulting, or in house growth environment
Strong understanding of attribution, measurement, and performance marketing fundamentals
Ability to communicate confidently with founders, executives, and stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to build strategic plans and drive cross functional execution
Strong commercial acumen and comfort discussing budgets, forecasts, and business outcomes
Ability to influence teams and drive action without direct authority
The Ideal Candidate
You don't wait for direction.
You can walk into a complex account, identify the biggest constraint to growth, build a plan to address it, and align a team around execution.
You are equally comfortable discussing attribution methodology, creative strategy, customer acquisition economics, and business priorities with a founder.
Most importantly, you care about outcomes.

Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 CAD + performance incentives.
