Alongside our team of 180+ members spanning Media Buyers, Copywriters, Content Managers, Landing Page Developers, Content Creators, Email & SMS Coordinators, CGC & Influencer Managers, we need an Ecommerce Strategist to drive client success by managing relationships, leading strategy on accounts within their portfolio, and working alongside an amazing team.
Requirements
5+ years paid marketing experience
3+ years of client communication experience, preferably in an Account Manager or equivalent role
Able to identify and articulate account direction using a combination of performance data, researched insights, and personal marketing experience
Confidently leads omni-channel discussions and answers client questions with clarity
Able to guide client growth and build strong relationships with partners
Understands pixel tracking and attribution
Able to walk clients through account performance through an attribution lens
Able to set benchmarks and identify core KPIs
Capable of identifying areas of opportunity across Ecommerce channels including Meta, Retention, TikTok, and Google
Able to build plans with platform roles in mind

The Day-to-Day
Own client relationships and account success within your portfolio, including client calls, Slack communication, and in-person meetings
Serve as the first line of client support and strategic guidance, escalating to the Head of Ecommerce as needed
Own the delivery of the client strategy and ensure the team is executing on it
Develop, maintain, and execute on a strategic framework that drives account decisions across creative, optimizations, budgeting, and more
Proactively request benchmarking information from channel-specific team members to make strategic decisions across channel budgets
Monitor account performance on a daily basis
Outline pointed channel-specific strategies for the team to execute in order to drive performance and ensure targets are hit
Own pricing integrity, including initial negotiation, ongoing maintenance, and renegotiation of pricing structures
Ensure service delivery remains aligned with service scope, client goals, and success
Coordinate and present audits for Shopify services for new clients
Include subject matter experts as needed
Own client alignment and service expansion to drive revenue growth and retention
Gather case studies and client testimonials for external Marketing and DTC projects
Understand client needs and what Pilothouse services will deliver client results
Set internal goals to achieve service expansion
Collaborate with Partnerships for sales support
Oversee and coordinate strategy deployment to channel-specific executional staff assigned to accounts within your portfolio
Provide feedback and be consulted on staff performance
Work with Division Heads to ensure team members meet Pilothouse standards
Communicate in internal and shared channels daily, providing insights and feedback to help account teams deliver results
About the Position
As an Ecommerce Strategist, you will be responsible for driving client success by managing relationships and leading strategy on accounts within your portfolio. You will be accountable to the client and responsible for driving client results.
You will own the client strategy and ensure each executional team member is taking action in accordance with your strategic vision. As the client point of contact, you will take a holistic approach to client growth, considering revenue across all channels.
This role is accountable for service expansion and appropriate scoping, ensuring seamless alignment between client needs and Pilothouse’s services.
This role reports to the Head of Ecommerce and does not have direct reports.
